  The "City of San Francisco" passenger cars had extra streamlining shrouds on the undercarriage. This made it necessary to rearrange most of the underbody components.

The propane powered Waukesha Model "E" ICE Engine drives a 7 1/2 ton rotary compressor and a 2 KW generator (primarily to add power for the 2 electric fan motors in the condenser unit and the 1 motor in the sub-cooler.	The unit occupies the area behind the front truck. It is mounted on racks and can roll out for maintenance without disturbing any connecting cables.

The enginator provides 7-1/2 KW for all the rest of the needs of the car.	Propane tanks
The propane powered Waukesha Enginator produced 2 kw. It is also mounted on racks and can roll out for maintenance without disturbing any connecting cables.
Four batteries on roll out trays sit in the battery compartment and were protected by louvered panels.
